Between Tuesday 29 September to Saturday 3 October, 2020, Children and Young People With Disability Australia (CYDA) are hosting a National Youth Disability Summit (NYDS) – an innovative conference, designed by and for young people with disability.
The Summit has been designed by the Co-Design Committee, 20 young people with lived experience of disability from all around Australia.
Over five days, young people with disability from around Australia are invited to come together to learn about and discuss issues facing young people with disability.
Each day is based on one of the 5 themes prioritised by the co-design committee:
- Education
- Employment
- Access, Awareness and Inclusion
- The NDIS and Housing
- Mental Health.
On the Tuesday and Friday of the summit, staff members from WWDA, Mali and Heidi will also be presenting at the summit and on the Thursday, we will be hosting a virtual booth to promote opportunities to get involved in the WWDA Youth Network.
Learn more about the summit and register on the CYDA website.
