Last week, Director of Policy and Programs, Heidi La Paglia represented WWDA on an ANROWS webinar about financial abuse.
Heidi raised a number of key recommendations on the panel needed to address financial abuse against women with disability, including ensuring that the National Plan to end violence against women and children is inclusive of all forms of gender-based violence, prioritising co-design with a victim-survivors from a variety of intersectional backgrounds and recognising the danger of substitute decision-making regimes and segregated systems such as Australian Disability Enterprises and group homes.
If you missed it, you can watch the recording of the webinar on the ANROWS website.
