In a significant milestone, Women with Disabilities Australia (WWDA) has been recognised as part of the National Women’s Alliance by the Australian Government’s Office for Women. This is the first time WWDA has received funding through the Women’s Leadership and Development program, enabling us to amplify the voices of women and gender diverse people living with disabilities at a national level.
What are the National Women’s Alliances?
As one of six diverse organisations, WWDA now joins a powerful coalition advocating for the economic security, safety, and leadership of all women in Australia. We will collaborate with policymakers to shape government initiatives that directly impact the lives of women with disabilities.
